The Coronet and similar Plymouth Belvedere received complete redesigns in 1968, as did the Dodge Charger, which shared the B-body platform. Trim levels initially included the base Coronet, Coronet Deluxe, Coronet 440, Coronet 500 and Coronet R/T. This 1968 Coronet R/T clone recently went on the Hot Rod Power tour where it performed flawlessly. Finished in its original color of Yellow, the car has been finished with correct R/T badging, stripes and magnum 500 wheels. The paint on the car is in very good condition with only a few minor blemishes showing. While not a show quality paint job, it's a nice driver quality. The body appears to be solid and shows no bubbling or rot. The front and rear bumpers are in very good, original condition with only some minor pitting and dings showing. There have been R/T badges, cowl hood and a bumblebee stripe added that look great. Inside, the interior is mostly new and looks great. The front buckets are new and are later model vinyl which looks better then new and much more comfortable. The rear seat has been reupholstered in the same pattern as the front seats. The carpet is new as well as the headliner and kick panels. Both of which look great. The center console is new and has a new shifter from Lokar installed. The dash appears to be original for the car with some cracking showing to the dash pad and wear. The original AM radio has been replaced with an AM/FM stereo that works but doesn't display the station. Under the hood, the 318 Cu In V8 runs great and is connected to the three speed automatic transmission. The car starts with a turn of the key and has recently completed multiple legs of the Hot Rod Power Tour and performed flawlessly. This is a great driver and has proven itself on the open highway. The engine compartment is in great condition and has been nicely detailed. The trunk has been carpeted and look great. It comes with a full size radial spare and jack. The wheels are all new Magnum 500's with white letter radials wrapped around them. All of the tires look new and have good tread life on them. Current mileage shows 86,288 and the VIN number is WH23F8A207885.
