Beginning with probably the most important issue on these cars is the matter of rust. People like to call places on the car “Hell Holes†and “The Abyss†and if you get the right one (wrong one) I can see their point. This car is RUST FREE! No patches panel repairs etc. Just to be clear!! Type 473444 Chassis # 4742902297 with Engine number GA008237 (still original) was first sold 5/2/1974 according to the original Maintenance Record log. 401/A04 774-6966 is still in the Original Bahia Red color code L30E with the exception of the trunk lid. The car has EVERY service event logged in its Logs from new until 11/4/2000 with 107347 miles. The odometer stopped working at 135000 miles only just recently. Car was maintained for the last few years and not driven every day but taken out and started every few months to ensure that it did not suffer from neglect. We bought the car and have since changed the oil for good measure inspected brakes fluids and electrics. Car needed nothing more than a bath and runs and drives excellent. Paint is in good condition but not concourse. The interior is in very good condition. Dash is not cracked or showing signs of wear or aging. Tires are good as is all the rubber on the car. One term for a car like this would be called a “True Survivorâ€. Another would be a real find. You have to see the car in person to appreciate just how nice it is and how rare this example must be.
