Found the build sheet under the back seat and its in real good shape. Was built in the Van Nuys plant 7-7-78 and delivered to Shepherd Pontiac in Concord CA. Spent all its life there in southern Cal and was parked in '93. Recently rescued and had the radiator, water pump, belts and hoses and fuel pump replaced. Runs and drives nicely without issues. With paint and minor body work this car would be a good driver and collector car. Not many of these left and very few that don't need tons of sheet metal work. Havent checked the fuel mileage yet but with 256 gears it runs about 2400rpms at 70 mph. Doesnt smoke or use oil., , 1978 was an all time sales record for Pontiac, selling over 175000 Firebrids, Trans Ams and Formulas.
