The body is straight, rust free, bondo free and well done. There are no bubbles, no waves, no dents and no scratches. The panel gaps fit excellent for the hood, trunk and doors. The door lips are clean and solid. The stunning Nassau blue metallic paint shows excellent gloss and luster. The bright chrome bumpers, stainless trim and black vinyl top are all well maintained and free of flaws. Mechanically, this car is completely read to go. The engine is a 350ci that sounds meaner than most of the cars in our showroom, and looks fantastic in the cars black engine bay. Turn the key and the dual feed Holley carburetor, with vacuum secondaries, sucks air through the air cleaner. A new alternator, new fuel pump, a rebuilt radiator and a repainted heater box look great next to the beautiful firewall and inner fenders. Little details make this engine bay shine, such as perfect MSD wiring, chrome bolt caps, and the hoses being in such great shape. This engine flat out rocks; it’s all day reliable with massive power; at 70mph the tachometer reads 2700rpm. The bottom of the car is just as beautiful as the engine bay. Let’s start at the rear. There is a new gas tank, and a new exhaust system with Flowmasters. The GM 10 bolt rear end does not have posi. The 350 turbo transmission shifts awesome. The frame is just gorgeous, with all new bushings. The floorboards are solid, with no rust or patches. I could find only one patch anywhere underneath the car, and it was very well done; on the driver side of the trunk drop down panel. The shocks are new, there are new bushings on both front and rear lower control arms, new sway bar links and new u-joints on the drive shaft. This car has been extremely well cared for over the years. There is a beautiful aluminum pan, and updated disc brakes. Inside the car, you’ll find a nicely restored black vinyl interior that is both comfortable and appealing. The bucket seats and console set up is a classic. The interior lights work, the door buzzer works and the gauges work. On the passenger’s side of the dash you’ll find a correct Hurst logo attached to the locking glove box. This Cutlass is ready for the local cruise and car show! Documentation for this car includes the original owners manual, protect-o-plate, original warranty certificate, order form, and some receipts for maintenance performed since the restoration.
