Nissan admits the 2004 Quest minivan had a polarizing interior that featured many architectural elements. Theres also new trim, in either a faux wood style or with a brushed, metal look that has been added along with chrome bezels around the gauges., , While the rear skylight windows remain, Nissan says it has redesigned almost every panel to reduce interior noise and improve fit and finish. The front-wheel-drive Quest comes with a 3.5-liter V-6 engine that makes 240 horsepower. A five-speed-automatic transmission, which now has wider gear ratios to improve acceleration, is standard. Antilock brakes, active head restraints for the front seats, traction control and three-row side curtain-type airbags are standard. An electronic stability system and side-impact airbags for the front seats are optional.
