Have you ever dreamed of inventing something you could patent and sell to a big company? Ever dreamed of starting your own custom-car company? After soaking up that kind of knowledge, Ed turned entrepreneur and created the COLDfire Thermal Cycling Cryogenic Processor, which he patented. The device cycles metal parts through extreme warm and cold temperatures, which effectively seasons them in a single day. In other words, there's no reason to leave that engine block in the backyard for five winters. He originally wanted to build his own Gone In 60 Seconds-style Eleanor based on a '67 Mustang. He wanted a vintage car with modern motivation and creature comforts, but he soon realized building such a car was going to cost even more than he thought. About that time, a friend told Ed to check out the new Mustangs. Ed is a true Ford fan-his first car was a Galaxie 500-so he went to a local Ford dealer, and there was an '05 Mustang in Mineral Gray. He knew it right there-he could take a car that already had the creature comforts and turn it into the car of his dreams. Of course, his entrepreneurial spirit thawed right away. Soon his personal car was on the back burner, and he was ready to start another company-one that sold his dream to others. "The '05 Mustang had all the modern components I needed, and it had the look, Ed explains. I called my contacts and began working on an 05 Eleanor look-a-like, and three months later I had a car built and ready for the public to see. Within the first month I received three orders and sold one finished car. The car was getting tremendous attention, and I soon learned I had a tiger by the tail and I didn't want to let go. Of course, as more famous car builders found out, Ed couldn't name his car after its movie-star inspiration, so he got creative and reverse-engineered it. Hence the catchy moniker-Ronaele.
