1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS396/325 HP, , Vin # 138177K136031, , A true "138" SS396 Chevelle, 4speed, 12 bolt posi, with engine casting #3902406, which is correct for a 1967 SS396, 325hp Big Block. , , This car went through a frame off restoration, with attention to every detail. Like many of the cars from the late 60's in Chicago, this car was driven year round, so both quarter panels have been replaced. The rocker panels were solid so no major repairs needed to be done. There were complete floor pans installed. The repair is clean and very professional, many hours were spent to make sure the Tuxedo Black shows perfect in every light. The interior has gone through a complete overhaul, including correct seat covers and new black carpet, with a new headliner. Dynamat was installed on the floor to help reduce road noise and heat protection. Before installation of the headliner, insulation was installed to help reduce road noise., , Originally this car was equipped with a m-20 4 speed, the trans that is in the car is a M-21 4 speed from a 63-65 GM. The casting number on the trans is 3851325, , The rear end in the car is casting number 3875745, which is a 12 posi used in 1966, belived to be original to the car, as this car was deliverd in Feb of '67., , This car was frame off restored to the original specs as provided on the original window sticker.The original window sticker reprinted by General Motors, which is included in sale in its laminated form. The restoration included new upper and lower ball joints. All new bushings in the front end. Replacement of original (non power)4 wheel drum brakes. All of the body mounts were replaced with correct GM mounts., , The Chrome has been polished to mirror finish and all of the stainless has been restored to perfection., , The frame was stripped and repainted in proper GM color. All brake lines and fuel lines were replaced., , This Original big block Chevelle has had a few modifications that should be mentioned. Although the Block and heads are correct, there is HEI ingition installed. The camshaft, although not radical is not stock and has a very nice tone to it. The engine was professionally tuned it starts and idles like a new car(with a lump in its throat).The lower control arms in the rear are Edelbrock aftermarket to help stop wheel hop and improve ride stability. The wheels and tires are also not stock. 17X8 American Racing wheels wraped in Kumho Escta rsx P255/50r17 all season radials on all 4 corners. The wheels and tires are like new. This car has been driven since its restoration about 5 years ago, but has not been driven in rain or snow since. , , This is a beautiful all black 67 SS396. , , This car will not disappoint you, it starts and runs awesome. The pure power of a big block along with a 4 speed combined with the raw basic no power steering, no power brakes gives you the feeling that you are back in 1967.
