Isuzu Motors Ltd. is a Japanese manufacturer of automobile and commercial trucks, located in Tokyo. Isuzu is largest manufacturer of medium to heavy duty trucks. It has plants and manufacturing facilities in the Japanese city of Fujisawa. Isuzu is famous manufacturer of commercial automobiles and diesel engines. In 2009, Isuzu has manufactured more than 21 million diesel engines. Renault, Opel and General Motors use Isuzu diesel engines at their brands.
On November 7, 2006, Toyota bought 5.9% shares of Isuzu Motors Ltd., becoming the third largest shareholder behind Itochu and Mitsubishi Corporation.
