On December 22, 1901, Max Grabowsky created a company and named it "Rapid Motor Vehicle Company”, which manufactured some of the rather commercial trucks ever designed. The trucks use a cylinder engines. In 1909, the company was bought by General Motors.
GMC now produces SUVs, trucks, pickup, vans, light trucks and medium duty trucks. GMC also produced fire trucks, ambulances, heavy trucks, vehicles, motor homes and transit buses.
